Don’t go permanently damaging your skin is one way to survive.

Six hours straight is likely too much for you in one sitting, especially if your first tattoo. Your endorphins that kick in during the tattoo sessions will likely not last you that long. Break it up into two sittings is my recommendation.
Be sure you get a good night’s sleep…no alcohol or anything mind altering the night before or the day of your tattoo.
Be sure to eat a substantial but light meal about an hour or so before…a turkey sandwich with cheese on whole grain bread is perfect. Drink lots of water.
Bring suckers or lifesavers for some sugar boosts during the tattooing and don’t be afraid to ask for a break now and then. Chances are the artist will need one anyway.
I am not a big one on distractions like headphones, reading, etc. It is better to concentrate on slow even breathing…relaxation techniques, etc.
Good luck
Woah thats a long time. Your better off getting it done in 2 sessions but if not…
- Take a multi-vitamin the morning of when you are going.
- Make sure you have a decent meal no more than 3 hours before you go to get inked.
- Right before you go in, have a chocolate bar or something to get your blood sugar up.
- Be sure to take in a bottle of coke or something so if you feel faint (which you shouldnt if you have eaten) then you can just take a drink and you should be fine.
- If you feel faint/nauseous while being tattooed, ask the artist to stop and take deep breaths and have some water.
-But most of all, don’t worry! I’m assuming you already have tattoos so you will know the pain isn’t half as bad as people build it up to be in their heads.
- If it IS your first time, tell the artist to take it easy at first until you get used to the pain and he will just do small strokes.
Good luck, I bet it’s guna look great
