Question by : Do foot tattoos wear off quicker?
I heard that foot tattoos don’t last as long as other tattoos because your feet are constantly moving and the ink wears off. Is this true? Thanks!

This is a good point, but I think it depends. If you are a runner, for example… the tattoo may fade quickly. I have a small tattoo on the top of my foot which I usually cover in nylons or socks. However, I am often wearing heels that bare my tattoo, so nothing is covering it at all. So it depends, but I don’t think it fades any quicker than say, a tattoo on your wrist or something.

No. Tattoos don’t wear off (ever), no matter where they’re located.
Yeah, there is a ton of friction from your shoes. I have one, and it kind of goes onto the inside of my foot (my big toe side
, and then across the top of my foot. The part of the top of my foot is just fine, but the part on the side, to the inside of my big toe bone, has worn really badly. I got it 2 years ago, had it touched up about a year ago, and it’s pretty much ready for another touch up any time now
The longer you can go without shoes after you get it, the better. I got mine in winter, so I was always wearing boots. If you can get it at the beginning of summer (when it’s not warm enough yet to swim, but warm enough to wear flip flops), that would be the time to get it.
Here’s a really crappy picture of mine –> http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=267825&l=a4d88&id=507604720
Basically anything from the center of the flower to the inside of my foot is badly faded.. you can really tell when you look at the pink in the petals.. I think that pic is from about 6 months after my last touchup!
Here’s another pic.. look at the edges of the petals –> http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=267826&l=9042f&id=507604720
